Question

I’m supposed to be getting my refund by February 18th but when I check the status of it on IRS2GO, it’s still in “processing” even though I got an email saying it was approved. Sho

The email probably said Accepted.  The IRS doesn't send emails when the approve it.  Accepted only means the IRS verified some basic info on it so they know it's really from you.

You got an email saying it was "accepted". That is the first step of the process. The refund won't be approved until the IRS is finished processing your return. Continue to track the status on the IRS2GO app or web site.  The Feb. 18th date was a ball park estimate based on the fact that most filers get their refunds in 21 days from when the tax return is accepted. It is not a reliable estimate.

VolvoGirl and TexasRoger are absolutely correct.

"Accepted" merely means that your tax return has been submitted electronically by TurboTax, is currently in the government's hands, and has passed the IRS' initial inspection -- verifying, for example, that your personal information matches its records, your dependents haven't already been claimed by another taxpayer, that sort of thing. 

After your electronic return is accepted, the IRS' next step is to approve your refund.
