You may add a state tax return and e-file it but you must wait until the Federal tax return has been accepted before you can e-file the state tax return. See here. To add a state tax return, do the following: Down the left side of the screen, click State. In the center of the screen, click Your State Returns. Under Status of your state returns, click Add Another State.
