What/where does Turbo Tax say returned? What exactly does Turbo Tax show? Turbo Tax doesn’t know anything about your refund. The IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax. Does Turbo Tax say your return was rejected? Maybe your return was never filed. Or you were supposed to mail it in.
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. And check your spam folder for them.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
Your tax return says how much. The tax return is the 1040 form you send to the IRS. The Refund is the amount you get back. If it says Ready to Mail that means you have to print it out and mail it to the IRS yourself at the post office. It has not been filed yet. There should be a cover sheet with instructions on how and where to mail it.
Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
