Your state "what"?   A state tax refund?   I'll assume that's what you meant, but maybe you are referring to a state software program you purchased or something else.

Some states are quick with tax refunds, while others, such as GA and WV, take a long time--even weeks--as they crack down on fraudulent returns.

If you efiled the state return, use the tool below to be sure the state return was successfully efiled and accepted:

If that confirms it was accepted, or if you mailed the state return, then here's how to check the status of a state refund. 

TIP:  While you are at the state tax website, see if they have a notice or FAQ on how long it usually takes to get a refund in your state and how long to wait before calling them.  Many have such a statement.
