I need to amdended my 2016 taxes

If you prepared your 2016 taxes using TurboTax (online) to amend your tax return for that year.

1. Log into your TurboTax account

2. Click on Tax Home

3. Scroll down in the page to Your Tax Returns and Documents

4. Click on your 2016 tax return

5. Click on the option to amend your 2016 tax return.

6. Download the software to your desktop

7. Also download your 2016 .tax file

8. Open the desktop version of TurboTax

9. Click on amend a filed return.

10. The Program is looking for the .tax2016 file which you downloaded

11. Now you are ready to amend your return

Once you have made all of the changes to your return you will need to print it out, sign and date and mail it to the IRS according to the instructions that will print out with the return
