Hello,

I registered and reviewed my earnings history in the Social Security web site and noticed i had a zero for the year 2012.   When i went back and reviewed i noticed that my wifes social security number had been used on my schedule C by accident causing my earnings to not show up!   I filed using TurboTax of course and have the files in history, wanted to get you advice on what form and process to correct this the IRS?

Thank You,

Dan C

Unless you filed the 2012 tax return within the last three years, it is too late to amend it (see below)

You need to contact the Social Security Administration to correct your earnings record. Complete the Request For Correction of Earnings Record

From What is the deadline for filing an amended return?,  "The IRS will accept an amended return up to 3 years after the date you filed the original return orwithin 2 years after you paid the tax due on the return, whichever is later."
