Question

I need to amend my return, I checked qualifying widower however that is not what happened. How will that affect my refund timing if I were amend this years return?

We are unable to provide a detailed timeline on Amended returns, however, the IRS states it will take up to 3 weeks to show in the system for tracking purposes, and up to 16 weeks for processing.  You can track your information at the link here.
