No, you can't delete the standard deduction from your tax return. If there's a reason you can't take the standard deduction, for example Married Filing Separately and your spouse itemizes, you indicate that in another area of the return.

You can elect not to take the state sales tax deduction, but since it is just based on your state and your income, this is also included automatically.

Here's how to elect not to take the state sales tax deduction:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
  2. Select Deductions & Credits.
  3. Select Edit or Pick up where you left off.
  4. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. Expand the section by selecting the down arrow.
  5. Select Start or Revisit to the right of Sales Tax.
  6. On the screen, Let's Compare Your Sales Tax and Income Tax, the program will tell you which deduction is better for you.
  7. If it says, Based on your entries so far, we recommend the state and local income tax deduction for you, you aren't actually deducting any sales tax.
  8. If it says the sales tax deduction is recommended, you can select Take the Income Tax Deduction anyway at the bottom.

If this doesn't completely answer your question, respond back with more details of what you are trying to do.
