You can edit/enter a tax form by:
  • Open (continue) your return if you don't already have it open.
  • You may need to Click on the orange button “Take me to my return
  • Search for the form you want to change (e.g., W-2, 1099-R, etc. -- upper- or lower-case, with or without the dash).
  • Click on the Magnifying Glass icon (or just hit Enter key).
  • Click the "Jump to" link high-lighted in Blue.
  • On that form’s summary page, you can Edit (or Revisit) your current information.

I got to the form I want to edit, highlighted the cell (became blue) and tried to edit. But I couldn't. Any other way for editing or did I miss any step(s)? Thanks.

Change must be made in the interview data input screens ... so if you have not filed the return yet what exactly are you trying to change ?

You can edit the worksheet entries . Press control-D to unlock the blue highlighted cell you selected.

I downloaded a file of stock transactions to TurboTax from a financial institution.   The file contains 'transactions' (sales) that are not actually sales, and do not have  entries for number of shares (not to mention strike prices of zero) so TurboTax wants them reviewed and they need to be deleted.  How do I do that; the displayed file is not editable.

It's probably best to delete the download and enter a summary of those transactions, rather than try to edit each one in the imported file, if the file contains multiple transactions.

You could then import the rest of the transactions, if your broker account allows you to pick and choose what to import, or use the Sales Summary for those also.

In TurboTax Desktop, go to File > Remove Imported Data.

In TurboTax Online, in the left-side menu, go to Tax Tools > Tools, then 'Delete a Form' from the popup menu.
