I need to establish a new turbo tax account but i want to access my prior returns and information. How do i do this?

Sorry----you will not be able to do that.  Accounts cannot be merged or even "partially"merged.   if you are not transferring the data from your 2019 return to your 2020 return you cannot cherry pick just the data you want.  Since you are starting over with a new Single filing status, it is wise to start a new account.   It is too hard to remove the "spouse stuff" from an account that was used for a joint return.  But you will have to start that new account and your 2020 return from scratch.  Sorry.

Do keep a record of how to access those old returns and your old account.   it would be a good idea to print out the returns for your records.

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
