I need to know the status of my return? Both Federal and State. I mailed them in back in April and have yet to get a response?

You can check the status of your refund expected from a mailed tax return at least 4 weeks after it has been mailed to the IRS.  It takes a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for the IRS to receive and process a return that has been mailed.  However, given the current situation with the corona virus pandemic, it will take even longer because the IRS has not been accepting mailed returns for quite some time.
