Question

I need to mail in and amend my return, but the irs has apparently stopped all processing of mailed returns. Is there anything I can do about this? I already missed out on the first stimulus check and

Cannot afford to miss future ones. All I need amended is the 'someone can claim me as a dependent" box. With the IRS phone assistance offline there seems be no one to actually contact about this that

You should still mail your amendment.  There is nothing you can do about this over the phone.
