I need to pull back my tax filing.

I just received a 1099 that I forgot to enter on my taxes.

You are not able to stop or pull back a tax return once it has been submitted to the IRS for filing.

You will need to wait to see if your return is rejected, or accepted by the IRS.  If it is rejected, you can add any additional information as well as correct the reason it was rejected before you resubmit the return.

 If your inaccurate tax return is accepted, you will need to amend your return to correct the errors and include any additional forms that you have received.  Please be aware that Form 1040X will not be available to prepare in TurboTax until mid-February, but once it is available, you will be able to prepare and print your amended return so that you can mail it to the IRS. Also keep in mind that you will not be able to e-file an amended return as it cannot be filed electronically. The form is only filed on paper, so it will need to be printed and filed by mail.
