Question

I never received my 2017 taxes. The IRS claims I never sent them but TurboTax sent me a confirmation email and gave a tax return amount. How does TurboTax correct this?

If you filed with TurboTax Online, your returns are in your account.  When you sign into your account, click on Previous Taxes on the left-hand menu, see attached.  If you used the desktop software, your tax return is saved to your computer and not on the TurboTax servers.

Review the confirmation you received.  TurboTax will send you an email when your tax return gets accepted.  So, if you didn't file, it is unlikely that the confirmation you are seeing is for your 2017 tax return.
