Direct deposit can not be made into an account which doesn’t have your name on it. You will have to receive your refund by mail.

No.   You can direct your refund to any of your checking or savings accounts; you cannot direct your refund to someone else’s account (except for your spouse’s account, if this is a joint refund).

If you don't have a checking account, the IRS will mail your refund check to the address on your return.
