After I filed my 2017 taxes, and they were accepted, today,March 14, 2018 I received a 2017 Form 1098 with a figure in box 5. The corrected box was checked and dated 3/7/2018. I filed 1040A tax return. Do I need to file an amended return?
You are not required to file an amended return, but if you do you may get an additional refund for the mortgage insurance deduction.
