I received a letter from my state about a miscalculation on our deductions for tax year 2023 resulting in an underpayment. Who is responsible us or Turbo Tax?

TurboTax did not divide the total deduction between my spouse and me correctly (the sum was higher than the total deduction) causing the underpayment (over refund?). I feel like this is a failing of the software, and we should not be responsible for the discrepancy.
