I received an email on 2/19 stating "When you imported your W-2 form, missing or incomplete data was transferred by your employer" Box 12. Do I NEED to amend?

Maybe.  If you've already filed your return, wait until it is either accepted or rejected by the IRS.

No. If you already filed your return and submitted it, you will need to wait until your return is approved by the IRS and you refund sent before amending your return.
