I received my federal return but haven’t received my state return yet after a couple weeks…wondering why it’s taking so long

State refunds often lag behind federal refunds by anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. States typically don't start processing returns as early as the IRS, and it takes them a while to get caught up. If it has only been a couple of weeks it is not anything to be concerned about. I don't know what state you filed in, but I'm pretty sure that they have a "Where's my refund?" function. You can do an internet search with "[name of your state] Where's my refund?" and find out the status of your refund.
