Question

I received my unemployment refund today. Its less than turbo tax says i should get back if i ammended it. How can i ammend it knowing i have a portion of it already?

My refund today was for $553. Turbo Tax says if amended with the new unemployment tax law i should get $1224 back. If i amend it, will they know to deduct what they already sent me and just send the difference?

Did they send the original refund + a few $$ of interest ? If so sit tight until they recalculate the return for the unemployment exclusion as they are being sent separately.
