Question

i received rejection stating the AGI number is not correct from 2018 but I double checked it and is correct on my parents 2018 AGI it is the same number what do I domy father passed away in 2019

    If you are filing for your father then you must sign the return with your name as personal representative for your father.  That can only be done with pen and ink on a paper return.  Mailed returns do not need a AGI.   The SSA has probably locked the SSN anyway to would prevent e-filing.

     

    Suggest that you read IRS Pub 559 (Survivors, Executors, and Administrators) for a lot of good information about filing the final return and estate return and other requirements.
