Question

I recieved a letter for a refund adjustment March 9th and still havent received my refund. The letter said it would be 4-6 weeks, anyone know what the waiting period is now with the IRS being Closed?

The IRS will finish processing your tax return when they return to normal operations. Right now, they are not processing paper-filed returns nor are they processing returns requiring a manual review (your return is in the manual review group).

IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954.
