I signed up for direct deposit to my bank. I was unaware my account is closed. I wanted know if I could get a card with my tax refund on it instead it going to bank.

May I get a card instead or has the check been mailed to the address already?

You will not be able request a card after your return has been submitted. The IRS will attempt to deposit the refund, once they are unable to do so (since the bank account is closed), they will send you a check by mail.
