Question

I started my return and placed an order but did not file yet. How can I change my returning without having to "amend" it?

As described, I placed on order for my return, but I needed to come back and make additional changes/fixes before I actually filed. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to do so without "amending" a return. Amending seems to require me to include additional forms, but those should not be necessary because my original return was never filed in the first place

Do not click on anything that says "amend." If you are having trouble getting back in to your return click on Add a State. You do not really have to add a state, but that will get you back in to make changes, add information, etc.

I tried this, and my Federal return is fine, but my state return says it cannot e-file because "Return is an amended return". Should remove my state (if it's possible) and just add it again?
