Question

I started my tax return and did not realize my daughter has already filed and claimed me as a dependent. I live with her, I am retired and only get SS - but want to file.

I answered the initial question NO - nobody can claim me - but now I know my daughter has filed claiming me. And I can't get back to answer/change that basic question.

Why are you filing a tax return if you can be claimed as a dependent? If your only income was SS you do not need to file, and if you can be claimed as a dependent then you cannot receive a stimulus check. That question about being claimed is in My Info.
