Question

I still haven't received my 2020 tax return check that I filed in 2021. I can't get any information from the IRS and am unsure who to talk to.

I received a letter from the IRS saying I needed to file business taxes, which I don't own a business.

Did you get a 1099NEC or 1099Misc from someone?  That is self employment.  You need to file it on Schedule C and pay self employment tax on it.   You do have your own business for it.  Self employment is a business.
