Question

I submitted my return to be direct deposited. But today through my online banking, it was denied. Does anyone know why?

This is mainly a user community so no here will know anything specific about your refund and a direct deposit being refused.    How do you know the deposit was refused?     Did you talk to your bank?

Did you check the direct deposit account/routing numbers you provided and the name on the account?

If your bank refused the direct deposit, it will go back to whomever sent the deposit.   If the funds were coming from the IRS or state, it goes back to the IRS or state tax agency, who will send you a paper check in the mail to the address on the return.

However, if you chose to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, then a refused direct deposit would go back to the intermediary bank that handles that process, and the intermediary company would send you a check in the mail.    If you used that method to pay your fees, we can tell you how to check on the funds.
