I think I did something wrong on my return how can I go back in to fix the problem

Yes, you can make changes to your tax return before you actually forward it to the IRS for approval.

To change your info in TurboTax Online before filing, follow the steps below:

1. Sign into your Online account.

2. Click the button that says "Take me to my return".

3. On the left navigation panel select "My Info" or any other section that you wish to revise. To edit the information click on the pencil icon next to the appropriate section.

4. Begin editing each section that you need to until the return is ready to be filed.

If you have already submitted your tax return, you will need to wait for your original tax return to be accepted by the IRS.  Once that has occurred then you can amend your tax return.

To amend your return you need to log into your TurboTax account to see an option to Amend a Filed and Accepted Return. Click on that to start the amending process.  Once you are finished making changes to your return you will need to print it out, sign, date and mail it to the IRS.

 Amended returns can take 8-16 weeks to process.
