I think I forgot to mail a form in to the IRS regarding a car donation recorded on a form 1098-C. Did I have to mail something in?

Yes, you must send Copy B of Form 1098-C to Form 8453, U.S. Individual Income Tax Transmittal for an IRS e-file Return, and mail the forms to the IRS. Here is the 8453 if you do not have the Turbo Tax printout. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8453.pdf
