Question

I think I have mistake somewhere on my CA state returns. They look way too big and I cannot find my mistake

Since we can't see what you're seeing, we will need a little more information. I would start, though, by checking your W-2 entries in the federal section of the program. Perhaps a typo in Box 17, where your state withholding is entered.

If the issue persists after checking your W-2 entries, I would delete the state return by clicking on the Delete link and then add it back to reset it.
