Question

I think I messed up my taxes and need help fixing them

I amended my taxes because the irs didn't give me my full refund but I think I didn't something wrong because now they are saying I owe them when I over paid on my taxes I need help fixing it

Do not amend until you know what the IRS changed on your return.   They will mail you a letter explaining what they changed.  Do you know what they changed yet?

 

A common adjustment is if you claimed the Recovery rebate credit on 1040 line 30 when you already got the Stimulus payment or got the second one after you filed or reported the wrong amounts or entered them in the wrong box.  Do you have an amount on line 30?

I was able to talk to the irs as well as a rep here on turbo tax to get everything straighten out thank you.
