I want my Va state tax refund to be deposited into my account, how do i make sure its deposited into my checking account?

The same account you use for Federal is used for state.

If my federal refund is direct deposit will my VA refund be direct deposit as well

If you chose to have your state return direct deposited, then you will have it direct deposited. The state and federal income tax are two separate entities.
