Question

I was supposed to get $833 for my state tax return but when i completed filing it said my state tax return was $0 is this wrong ? how can i fix it ?

No one can see your tax return or any of your information. When you say "I was supposed to get $833" --- where did you get that information? What said you were getting that amount?

when i was filing my taxes the website said they were giving me $833 for state taxes, but when i finished filing it said it was 0$

The "refund monitor" changes as you enter information into the software and cannot be taken seriously until you enter everything. Did it start out showing a refund and change by the time you finished entering everything?

Have you filed yet? Check your actual tax return. Does it show a refund? See if it's on another line to apply it to next year.

Sounds like you told it to keep your refund and apply it as an estimated payment to next year. Did you file it yet? If not then go through the State tab again, probably near the end and look for that screen again to change it. Change it to No and delete the amount.

If you already filed then next year remember to enter the amount to get credit for it.
