I was wondering why the IRS hadn't taken the money out of my account yet to pay my state taxes. I put a specific date and it hasn't been drafted yet.

The IRS is for federal tax --- the IRS does not take money to pay your state tax. What did you enter into the software to pay your state tax? There are only a few states that allow direct debit for state tax owed. Most states want to be paid on their tax web sites or by check or money order.
