Question

If I already filed my taxes and It showed I was not eligible for direct deposit. How do I change my information so I can get it mailed to me instead?

I went back to amend my taxes because the wrong social security number was entered and that’s when it said that I couldn’t do direct deposit. I wanted to know how I can change it from direct deposit to having it mailed instead.

"If I already filed my taxes"  What do you mean "filed?"  Do you just mean you completed the Form 1040, but have not yet e-filed?  We need clarity with terms like "filed."  If you actually e-filed you cannot change the way you receive your refund if the return was accepted.

You mean having your refund check mailed to you instead of having a direct deposit to a bank account?  Not sure at all why you would not be eligible for direct deposit -- are you confused?  Did you want to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund?  If so there is an additional fee for that-- $39.99 ($44.99 in CA); if your refund was not going to be enough, then you could not choose that option.

If you want to have your refund check mailed to you, you have to pay your TurboTax fees upfront with a credit card.
