Question

If I amended my tax returns and have my 1040x, where can I obtain the original 1040 document?

When you amended one of the first screens tells you to save a copy of the original return prior to amending or the amendment would overwrite the original return and it would be lost.

I never saw anything come up and say save my original return!  When I saved my amended return, i changed the name of the file!  Still lost all the original data!!  SMH!!
