Question

If I didn't receive my tax return, who do I contact?

My federal tax return was sent to a different bank. I filed for my 2022 tax return with TurboTax at the beginning of this year. I received my state tax return through mail, but my federal tax return was falsely sent to "MVB Bank." When I contacted MVB they claimed that I had been part of a cyber attack that effected hundreds of other TurboTax users, and that they didn't have my money. The MVB associate then told me to contact the IRS. When I contacted the IRS I was told to contact TurboTax, but I can only get in touch with an automated voice. Any help?

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/
