Question

If I didnt receive my refund and do an amendment do I have to wait an additional up to 16 weeks for my refund?? Did i screw myself??

Having 2 returns in the system may delay things which is why the first question the program asks is if you already the original refund ... if you properly say NO then the program stops you and tells you to wait.

Once the original return has finally been processed only then will the amended return be looked at and this year expect it to take 6 months or longer to process and if it comes in sooner be thrilled.

You stated after my original return has been processed they then will look at the amended return.... so could I get my refund still within a decent period? Nothing changed on my amended return at all. Not a thing. The amended return was an absolute fluke.
