If I e-filed and my refund is suppose to be direct deposit why is it saying my payment type is refund transfer and will be mailed in 4-8 weeks?

That means your TT fee payment type is Pay with Refund. TT does not receive tax refunds. Rather, it goes to a third party bank to have the fees deducted, and then to your account. But if your own bank declines the deposit, it bounces back to the third party bank, who processes and mail you a check.

But check the IRS website first to see if your refund was actually issued.
