If I e-filed my 2019 tax return, do I have to mail a copy to the IRS also?

After I e-filed my 2019 tax return, TurboTax instructed me that I had to mail a copy of my tax return to the IRS also. Why is this required in 2019 but has not been required in previous years?

You might have chosen the option to mail in a paper return without realizing it.

As long as you haven't already mailed your 2019 paper return, you can switch to the e-filing method (through October 15, 2020). Please click the TurboTax Help links to learn more. How do I change from mail to e-file in TurboTax Online?
