You can create an amended return but it is complicated.

First as stated, you must wait until your first return is finished processing.

Then, you would use Turbotax to create an exact copy of your original tax return including any errors.  "File" the tax return by selecting "I will print and file by mail" and printing a copy (don't actually mail it).  This will require paying Turbotax's fees unless you qualify for a free simple return.  Then log out, log back in, and begin the amending process.

Since you already paid for the tax preparer, they should prepare an amended return for free if it was their mistake.

If your return has already been accepted and is in processing you cannot file an amendment until it completes processing.

Yes, using TurboTax to amend a return that was prepared with some other software, is not a simple task.

Yes do NOT send an amended return in this situation as it will mess things up and can cause the return to be further delayed ... then if amending is required return to the place you did the original return to get it done ... trying to do it thru TT is not easy and is costly.
