Question

If i inserted all my w-2 forms an it gave me a total refund of 841.49 an now when i follow through with it now its saying ill get 419 why?

The refund meter will continually adjust as you prepare your taxes.

 

It is possible that when you inserted one W-2, you were eligible for some sort of a refundable credit (this just means you get more money back than you paid in) and then when you entered additional income it made you ineligible for the credit which changed the refund meter.

 

I recommend that all customers not pay too much attention to the meter until after they have entered all of their tax information.
