If I need to amend, would it be better to send in my 1040x forms myself or wait for turbo tax to be ready?

Iowa Workforce Development sent out 2 1099-G forms and I filed with the wrong one.

TurboTax amend will be ready in mid to late March. Amending with TurboTax is an easy procedure and your federal information will then flow to your Iowa state return which will probably also need to be amended. If you amend yourself, you will have to print and mail the Form 1040X. If you wait and amend with TurboTax, the amend will be efiled.

You generally must file an amended return within three years of the date you filed the original return or within two years after the date you paid the tax, whichever is later.
