Question

If I paid $60 for an upgrade to get back the most on my taxes, why have I been robbed of an additional $40 all because that upgrade is being payed from my refund?

The "Pay With My Refund" (also known as Refund Processing Service) feature has an additional charge. When you use that feature, your refund is handled by Santa Barbara Tax Group; they add on that charge. That additional charge should be displayed in your total before going through checkout.
