If i was issued a refund and then amended my return and ended up owing money do I need to pay back my refund?

I amened a state return and am being charged for my refund plus the taxes I owe. Is this correct?

Ok ... LOOK at the amended return carefully ... if you completed it correctly the original refund is included in the calculations.

So if you already got the original refund it should be listed on the amended return ... so ... if you now owe it is only the amount of the balance due on the amended return ... basically you got too much of a refund originally so you have to pay some back now.
