If my return was amended due to the recovery rebate credit how do I check to see what the error was?

why would turbo tax add a recovery rebate credit to my return and now it says I owe the irs

TurboTax will add the recovery rebate credit to your return if you answer No to the question Did you received the third Stimulus check.

If you already received the third stimulus check, you should answered Yes to that question.
