Question

If the IRS is not excepting returns till February 12th does that includ state as well as federal? Or will my CA state get filed before feb 12th?

The state cannot be accepted before the federal return is accepted  so 2/12 for both is correct ... however they do not process at the same time since they are handled by totally separate taxing authorities.
