How long does it take them to process for the IRS to process your taxes after mailing?

According to the IRS it takes about 6 weeks to receive your refund if you mail it and and choose direct deposit for your refund choice. Where’s My Refund? has the most up to date information available about your refund but you will need to wait about 4 weeks to see a status. The tool is updated daily (usually overnight) so you will just usually need to check once a day.
