Without being able to see your information and know what you really did and what you entered-----it sounds like you filed an incorrect tax return when you entered only one W-2 and e-filed in a hurry.  That was a big mistake; you were supposed to wait and enter all of your W-2's on the same tax return.  So then you got several more W-2's and filed ----did you prepare a Form 1040X in order to file those?   Please explain exactly what you did in order to send in that additional income.   Have you received any refund at all yet?   What does it show on the IRS refund site?

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2022 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Your refund partially depends on how much withholding you have done for your various paychecks during the year. When you have multiple jobs they do not coordinate between each other for withholding and it can sometimes be less, or even much less than it should be. You can change your withholding at any time by submitting a new Form W-4 to your payroll department.

xmasbaby0 is quite right, it is better to wait for all of your forms and submit them together. If you filed with one Form W-2 and then submitted an amendment while the IRS was still processing the original return, that could mean there are two copies of your return at the IRS at the same time, which can slow things down considerably.  They will process any refund on the first return and then for the amendment, will process any additional or show an amount due.

Click here for the TurboTax Taxcaster tool. It will help predict your tax refund for this current year, when you file next year. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, the W-4 Calculator will help calculate the best withholding for your paychecks.

You can verify any payments to the IRS and the dates made on your online IRS account. I highly recommend that everyone create an  account on the IRS website to verify the status of returns, payments, refunds,  stimulus information and so much more. Click to create an IRS Website Account.
