Question

In regard to the 6475 letter, it's very unclear. When married filing jointly do I enter the combined amounts of both our letters or just one?

Make sure you enter the TOTAL amount received between the two of you, so that the software does not put an EIP you already received on line 30 again and delay your refund for months.   Lots of people made mistakes with the recovery rebate credit for 2020 and ended up waiting a long time for refunds.   A few million of them are still waiting.

If both of you received the $1400 last year then make sure there is nothing on line 30 of your Form 1040.
